Took the paint saver pos off the bike because I needed a jar opener to get the cap off. (had to go to Walmart to get one just to fill my gas tank up).
Bought a new pop up cap vented for a Harley. While riding the pop up - popped up. Tried to push it back down but it wouldn't stay. 10 miles later the bike dies and sputters to a stop (in the pouring rain at night).
Since I just put in a wire-plus system I was worried. After messing around for a few minutes I pushed the pop up down and heard a whoosh. It seems the cap only vents when the pop up is down.... Maybe this will help someone else sometime.
Time to return to sender...
