Poof of air then oil leak

OK, here it goes...Start the bike cold.. almost dies so I throttle the gas and then I feel a moderate blast of air on my right leg.. No change in the sound of the motor and everything seemed to be ok.. ride around the block and park it..

The following day, go out and start it up. Let the bike idle for about 10-15 minutes. Go back out into the garage and smell burnt oil and can see a little bit coming out of the tail pipe. Oil spot is now under the bike that appears to be coming from the bypass tube under the bike..

My suspicion: Blow Head Gasket!

I would do a compression test to see what numbers you get per cyclinder. If you get the same on both you are OK, provided it it not missing at idle.

:iagree: I didn't see that the first time I read it... but damn that will do it! I don't like to idle more than a couple minutes.
