I have found having a Big Dog is one of the best things in the world.
Yet some days it can be a BIG PAIN.
Still love mine no matter what problem.

I loved my '05 chopper, but I'm going to love my '09 K9 with its chrome package (including wheels) even more! The billet aluminum upkeep is not too bad if you have the right tools, a bike lift, a good shop chair on wheels and lots of patience and time to invest on it every few weeks. I had everything but patience and time, which is why I'm going chrome!

Hey Bull, well let me tell you about my day....Just get my bike back from all that work done...New heads, Rocker boxes and all that chrome right. so I go to pull out of my garage and hit the first stop sign and guess what.. No front break. Seems that when they bled out my front break they forgot to tighten the bleeder and all the fluid must have leaked out on my ride home from the shop. So I run up to the local shop and get some fluid and redo my front break and Im good to go. Well then Im riding down the highway at about 65 or so and my engine feels like it dropped down to one cylinder so I pull over and low and behold the new plug wires they put on for me are disconected from the coil. Thought i blew a head or something, and unless you have the hands of a five year old you aint getting those wires back on without pulling the cover. So after a couple calls to the wife trying to explain what a rachet and hex sockets are I got it fixed. Anyway Moral of the story is I guess I should check every screw bolt and connection when I get my bike back from the shop because I guess 5 grand of work to my Dog does not include tightening of Anything......

I see that you live in Crofton, who did the work C&C? Try Full House Cycle in Winchester Va. Its a little drive but worth it.

Yes C&C did the work and I have never had a problem with them. they have always done me right, but you can bet they are gonna hear about the brake thing. Could have been ugly but thankfully it turned out ok.. We will see how they respond to me as to if I take the Bike somewhere else. I have heard that Full House does excellent work..thanks

Yes. I have learned this for myself. I dont care how good the shop is. You have to look over everything that they have touched.

Yoooo Semi.....that is scary my friend.....Thank God your ok....wow...that would have scared the crap out of me....I would give them a blast of crap over that....as long as your bike was at there shop, those 2 should have checked every thing out before you got it back.....that's poor workmenship...I can't beleive it....and the plug wire deal is unforgivable...theresno reason for that.....I like C&C also...but they did some odd things to me when my bike was being worked on also. I had to make sure things were going right...

So I will also check out Full House Cycles as well....plus it's an awesome ride out that way....

Yes I'm learning to check my bike when you get your bike back...check it all...as much as you know how....learning learning .....

Damn....sorry Semi....keep us posted on your response from them....curious to here...

Red, you just need hired labor. I have it, LDO has it, Gas Man has it and you need to find some. They can keep those wheels in great condition!!!

:whoop:  :D
