You got me stumped on this one 05. I just went and looked at the S&S .pdf file and still don't understand what you are talking about.
Can you give us a little more info.

Thanks,
Ray

Will have to read up on this. I know when I had my Zippers modified carb on my 03 they drilled out passages for better equalization.

Good post,
Ray

I took mine out as well and as Sul says no hose - the install instructions with the S&S sinlge bore intake says to take it out for use with that intake - I think its mentioned in that article in Febs American Iron as well

The manual says
Bowl vent screw should be removed for any all-out racing
application which includes use of air horn or air cleaner
without filter element. Exposed passage in carb body
maintains equal pressure between float bowl and
atmosphere.
Did you notice any difference when its removed?

I was told remove mine from BDM tech when I first started having after fire issues. Anyway, it's called the auxiliary vent bowl screw - they said it should be reomoved for warm climates and / or high altitude users. Did not notice any differnce.

Sul - also doing the wimmer 90 kit - the ultra sucker is a no brainer, there is no way it could breath enough - did not see a spec on it but I'm guess cfm has to be in the low 200's, if not less. I'm going green, like Ray...

I can't really comment as I took mine out when I changed the intake so I have no comparison to make

Now that makes some more sense
