I have an 06 Big Dog Ridgeback. On the way home from work this morning it completely shut down....NOTHING IS FUNCTIONING! But the battery is fine & I'm pretty sure its not the ignition switch bc I wired around it and still nothing.

If anybody has any suggestions or might know something about this please let me know!

Thanks,
Jason

Check connections at ehc and battery. Make sure they a good and tight.
From there I would suggest a meter or test light.

When you turn the key on Mohawk look under the seat and see if you have lights at your EHC. If you have no lights at your EHC and your battery connections are good then you probably lost your EHC. Start checking for grounds under the tank e.t.c.

I checked the battery it is good n I pulled the two plugs on the EHC and reconnected them to member sure they was making good contact it didn't change anything. When I turn Turned the key on there is no lights coming on under the seat so Ill pull the tank n go from.
Thanks for the advice

Check your 3 hot wires from the battery positive terminal connection. Trace them all the way back to their connections on the other end to make sure they are all still intact. I had one of them break on me and caused the same symptoms that you are having.

Check the wires on your ignition switch, make sure they aren't loose, frayed, or grounded out.

Alrite I pulled the tank n check all wires n even tried bypassing the ingition switch n still can't get any lights or anything. I ran a wire from the battery to the starter n the bike cranks good.so I'm guessing the ehc is bad.

stuck

I haven't had a lot time to mess with it but I went out to work on it yesterday n something had drained the battery.check the volts on the batter and it showed 1 volt so I took the battery off another bike n when I connected the positive cable the lights on ehc come on n went rite back off.so I checked somemore wires n still didn't come up with anything. Then after about ten mins with the good battery on it the battery terminals got hot so I took the cables off n i check the battery and somethin had done drained it

Well I found out the ehc was bad so I started in on rewiring. I took the factory big dog controls on the bars n were the buttons were had them welded up n smoothed them out. I bought small push buttons off eBay drilled my controls n put the buttons in. I have a starter button and one for my high low beam.I rode the bike this morning n it run out good.all I have left to do is the marker light n licensing plate light to wire. I was wondering if I could jus wire them up or do I need to purchase something to cut the voltage back. Thanks mohawk. Any advise would help tones
