please help. 2007 k9

Sometimes I turn the key on and it starts right up and when I start riding down the road the speedometer quits working and my flashers come on, bike still runs. then to turn bike off i have to turn key off cause the engine switch doesnt work.

Welcome from Coastal SC - Chris - do an intro about yourself and history on your bike, - we will find your problem!! Sounds like your ech is going - there are different options if you do a search on this forum

Normally flashers would indicate a low voltage situation.
Could be in the charging system, you may have wire harness/connector issues or possibly an EHC issue.
Takes troubleshooting to find the issues and fix them.
There is no easy way out.

Check Battery connections 1st to make sure they are clean and tight. If all is good have the battery tested for full charge approx 12.8 volts. You could also get it load tested. After that a more thorough diag will be in order.
Carb or fuel injected ?
