Pitbull Question

OK guys ... and Girls...

I went and looked at and drove a 2004 Pitbull last night. LOVED the bike...and it was EXTREMELY clean and ran great. The guy is asking $11,995 for the bike. I looked it up on NADA and according to them, it's worth about $10,200. The bike is completely stock. Need some help here...realistically is he asking too much....or is that a good price in the "real world"?

Thanks....

Kelly blue book says retail is $10,300. Keep in mind that is for a shop to sell it. Not a private owner. Take 9,000. cash a flash it in his face. Inform him the economy isnt that great and how hard he is going to have another person bring cash to him again. If its been for sale for sometime that helps too. Being its completely stock I wouldnt pay any more than $10,000. You didnt post up the mileage but Im assuming its average. Which would be 3,000 times the age of the bike. If its very little mileage then it could be worth more. Anything like oil leaks, paint chips or defects are great barganing tools to get a great price.

Bike was absolutly spotless. Milage was about 4500. I was actually amazed at how clean the bike was...I was thinking I wouldn't go anything ove 11....but was hoping for more like 10,500

I too would offer $10,500, explain that it is still more than blue book. Maybe 11k if you really want it. 2004 was a good year and it has low miles.

Wheel and deal and drive that Pit home. You won't be disappointed!! 10k is a nice fat stack and will probably do the deal.....

I throwed out $9500 last year for a 02 Pit. It was pretty much spotless, always been garage kept and had a little over 2k worth of accessories on the bike. Some people thought I was stupid, especially my wife, but, it was what I wanted.... Just walking by it in the garage puts a damn big :D on my face.

I sold my 03 two years ago for 10500 with lots of extras. I would offer the guy 10k for a stock bike. You'll want the extra money for goodies.:)

I too would offer up 10K cash and let him decided if he really wants to get rid of it...

End of 2010 you could have bought a new 08+ Pitbull for 15600 $.
That is what I did ;) . Put a little more money on the table for my favourite paint....
