I am just about ready to break down and get some new pipes for my '03 Mastiff LSD. There are just way too many choices to choose from though. I would like to have some that look good, sound good, not everybody and their dog has, ect., ect. I believe I have narrowed my choices down to 3 different sets, but I would like some input and pros and cons regarding my choices. I would like the pounds input on performance, blueing, carb. tuning, get the ones with the internal ceramic coating or not. Will I have to do a mount modification to get them secured on my dog. Do any of the members on the site run any of these pipes and if so do you like them? Any help and input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also on my bike the four stud bolts that hold the pipes on the exhaust ports are really rusted and I think they are going to snap in half when I take the stock pipe off. Can these studs be easily replaced?

First set I like are the Cyclones made by MGS Custom Bikes.

Second set I like are the Slickstas made by Martin Bros.

Third set I like are the Slickstas II made by Martin Bros.

I like the MGS Cyclone the best, but they are all nice and I dont think you could go wrong with any of them.

something to think about. I would soak down those rusted bolts with some wd-40 to help them come off easier. I'm not sure on the mounting but if they are trans mounted you should be ok. On your trans their should be a tapped hole to mount. If worse comes to worse you my need to modify a mount. Every martin bro. pipe I have heard is loud as hell. Good luck

I have Martin Bros Medustas on my 03 Mastiff and I love them. Had them on the bike for over 3 years, never a problem.

I can also validate Pig Pen's remarks. They are loud as hell!:D :2thumbs: :D

Ya they are almost the same as the Cyclones, but they are for RSD.:bang:
For the price I think I could change my mind if they would fit a LSD.........Just got off the phone with Mike at MGS custom bikes and I am looking at about $850.00 for the Cyclones with heat shields shipped to the house:eek: .......I wonder if the wife will understand?:D

Sure, just go down to your local bike shop or HD dealer and pick up a new set of studs and nuts. $16.

Also, no worries with bluing on Stainless Steel pipes. I run a set of Stainless Creations. Great pipes!!!

Iwent with Ceramic coated pipes because i like the look. I don't care what anybody says... You will be hard pressed to find a set of chrome pipes that will not blue at least a little.

Has anyone had any experience with these pipes? How do I determine what pipes will fit a 107 S&S?

pipes

First off let me intro myself and say hey! Ive got V&H big radius and would love to change them to the BMF from creative cycle but I think I will be packing everything I own on my pit cause once my old lady found out I spent over $1500 on pipes she's kickin me out!! Wish I could find a set as sweet as those(not like the cheap xzotics) for just a little less! But you pay for quality especially hand made wonders of joy like those!!!!
