Pillion Pads

If you put the pad on without sitting on it, you will lose it. I have put it on many times and sat on it to squish the suctions cups and have never lost it riding without a passenger. I like the look with it on even if riding solo, it seems to fill the gap between driver seat and sissy bar. But I also like the look without it and no sissy bar also, however my wife is usually with me so its on most of the time.
You could also get the 2-up seat so it wouldn't be a problem worrying about it falling off.

I wish I had more money.
I used to Cary mine along with an extra helmet. I would take The pad and the helmet and used the helmet to hold the pad to the downtubes. I'll find a photo for you. I had good luck like that.

seems the consensus is to leave the thing in the garage, especially if your the lurch type, which is fine I guess, I like the look with it on. Seems a strange arrangement on such an expensive bike. 2 ups are always an option I suppose.

I'de be worried about it flying off the whole time at this point so IM leaving it at home.
Had my helmet fly off my head one time back in 2001 or so, and get struck by my buddies bike, not good.
Helmet had one of the quick snap type connectors instead of the D-ring type, guess I did'nt snap it all the way and under heavy throttle it parted ways with my head.

I tie mine down with bungie cords and it stays put at 75 mph, so far anyway. :D
