Pillion Pad Damage

Make sure the pillion suction cups and the rear fender a perfectly clean (wash them off with a clean damp rag) before mounting the pad. Gently buff out the major scratches and use a good wax, multiple coats to fill the rest of the leftover scratches. I use my pillion seat multiple times during the summer and have never had damage like you show.

The 3M covering will scratch as well and show up over your paint.

You have to be very careful to keep all dirt/grime out the way. I keep my pad in my house remove it unless a lady is riding along. Every time I go to put the pad on I clean the cups very well with a damp cloth. Then, before I put the pad on the fender, I use quick detailer to clean the fender. It hasn't failed me yet. KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK (on wood).

I have the same marks, only my K9 is Matte Black !! Any suggestions other than repaint. :bang: :bang:

also, NOT RECOMMENDED to use p-pad on matte finish paint. will not stick properly with possibility of passenger falling off. on the matte finished bikes, you should use a 2-up seat.
