So I took of my pillion pad today and this is what I found.:bang: :bang: :bang:
Looks like some dirt got under the suction cup and did some damage to my fender. Safe to say I was a little pissed:angry:

The perpitrator

Hopefully I can do something to clean this up.

Feel your pain brother. Wax and elbow grease is only thing that worked on mine. Mine is solid black and everything shows up easy. :flag:

I think i might have to tell the wife no more back seat for her.

This is probably how it will go..

Sorry to hear it, my 2 up seat did about that much to mine, wax helps but it still shows a little, best of luck to polishing it out.

Common problem...those cups will all do that eventually...

The only fix is to put down the 3M paint protection kit... but then you see the line on that...

Damned either way... choose your enemy.

I think I remember reading BDM has some kind of clear sheath that fits on the fender. I don't remember too much, but it is for protection of the paint. This way your wife can still ride once you fix that damage. I feel your frustration. Like Agentbman said you can probably fix this with a little elbow grease and little time.

Everytime I ride, I wipe the fender and the cups witha microfiber towel with some detailer spray and I have never even gotten a single scuff on mine.

It has to be perfectly clean when put on.

It can be rubbed out to look like new again.

Nothing a decent body guy can't fix in a half hour. Like BDM said make damn sure to get all the dust off both before licking and sticking it.:D

I agree Jake... but it sounded like he leaves his on all the time.
I think yours are different. My pad doesnt just slap on. It bolts in the front under the riders seat. In order to get to those two bolts I have to remove my seat which can be a real pain in my ass. Something Id rather not be doing every weekend.

So ya, my laziness got the best of me and I left it on longer than I should have.:bang:
