Here is the estimate and image of the bike as of now, I don't see powdercoat being addressed tag repair seems very low, tripletree is a big question for me.
Let her rip guys. Tell me what you think. I did find Picos garage who will do an estimate for me for 200 bucks, they are or were a BD service provider so they could get most of the OEM parts.

I see a repair and re- chrome on that bill for the sissy bar and strut. If that was my scoot I would want new parts. Good time to pick the headlight you want and triple trees since its apart. Just a thought.

I would be concerned with the repair of the top triple tree, why don't they replace it instead? I too think it's a low estimate, I would have expected it to be a little more. If they can do it for that much than that's good, but you want them to do a good job too!

$65.00 per hour for labor is cheap, we are well north of $100 per hour

Always get a second or even a third estimate.

If they missed things on that estimate, or parts are more expensive than the estimate shows, then the shop can do a supplement with the insurance company and they should issue another check for damages missed the first go 'round and/or price differences. I have never done a perfect estimate and have a supplement for almost every wreck job we've done. I think you should be okay as long as the shop charges the insurance for everything extra as opposed to trying to charge you.

Its done like that all the time. The shop just wants the business, then they will bill the ins for extras.

I think they should haved totaled the thing. I am having another guy look at it, he says if there is tab damage the frame is replaced, new tins, for liability purposes and they will try to get all oem parts.

Amy is dead on here, there is not 1 car in my last 30 years that has come through my shop or any other shop I was working on that did not get supplemented ,it is an everday occurance that happens on all jobs...of course that is if you know what your doing....as for the shop charging you to do an estimate..never heard of it.......and as for the bike totalling the damage would normally need to exceed 75% of the value of the bike to total...you truelly dont have that much damage there and IF you take it to a REPUTABLE SHOP after the repair, you shouldnt notice the difference.....
