Pegs and Clevises

What is the trick to separate a foot peg from the clevis?
I thought once I removed the through bolt, I could just pull them apart. I cannot bang them apart. I don't want to pry and scratch em, what is the trick?

Mine came right off when I swapped them out awhile back. Nothing magical

Mine had a sleeve in them. After I removed the bolt I used a slightly larger drill to grab the sleeve and it came right out. Just go real slow with the drill. The bit will grab and just pull the sleeve out as it turns slowly.

I see the sleeves and will try your technique. The old pegs were salvaged from my 02 Pitbull. Glad I have them since new ones are $264, but could'nt figure out how to get em off the clevises. Thanks, Fatback
