PDM install, now no Tach signal.

Hey folks, I've been scratching my head on this for a week now and I'm running out of beer and patience. I installed a PDM kit after my EHC went up in smoke...literally and every thing went smooth until start up. Everything works as it should except two things: 1. I have no tach, it does not light up at all. 2. The light dimming aperture doesn't work, the High beam indicator feels like a damn laser in your eye at night. However all other functions of the speedometer work as they should, including all other annunciators. After searching the threads on here, I've gone back through all of the wires and double checked them, I've pulled the tach board and the solder joints are solid, and I'm starting to think it might be something with the Ignition module. I have an Ohm meter...but I don't have a clue to test the green wire coming from the module to see if its sending a signal out. Any clues?? Does it make sense for an ignition module to go bad only on the tach (green) and not the power or ground wire?

After my PDM install I had a problem with my tach working sometimes and sometimes it would not work. Finally got to were it didn't work at all. Found a ground wire that had a bad crimp in the wire connector that connected to the frame. Like to have never found it, the wire connector had shrink wrap over it and the only way I found it was I pulled on the group of ground wires and felt it separate from the connector inside the shrink wrap. I still have the problem of the tach not reading above 3500 rpms. The led's light up when the key is turned on and if the idle goes below 1000 rpms and the tach lights flash they work. But if your riding mine will not show above 3500 rpms.
