Pcb boards

Read on this forum somewhere that there is a difference between pcb boards. The way you can tell is some click when u push the buttons and others don't. I was looking for a short and found that the clutch side buttons click and the brake side buttons don't. Any info would be great. Btw I thought I found out why my scoot was dying. The connector that hooks to the run and start buttons wasnt fully pushed in. I started the scoot and played with this connector. The scoot didn't even die when I pulled the connector completely off. So i guess i didn't find the prob. Back to the drawling board.

They came out with a upgrade in 05/06. The newer switches have the click like a push button. Maybe someone only did one side of yours. My 05 was done as a recall.

It's not the actual circuit board that causes the tactile feedback click...it's the stainless steel switch DOME on the circuit board under the black button you press with your thumb. Electrically both switch domes function the same. It's just that the one that clicks is designed to have a snap action when collapsed.

The upgraded PCB newer version could have other changes on the circuit trace layout as well.

Here is a switch PCB picture to give you an idea.
