Other spending a lot of money for a clevis kit and model specific pegs has anybody tried any sort of universal style foot pegs?

It depends where you want to put the pegs. The stock location on my 2004 chopper was too high for my wife and she is just 5' 3" so I relocated them down to the holes in the swingarm frame. The right side hit the pipe so the only thing I needed to buy was a 1" U shaped clevis to keep the peg off the pipe. If you do this you can use any standard peg. I then relocated the turn signals to where the pegs were so I don't have any wires going through my fender to short out.

If you have a hardtail then I don't know....

Thanks for the reply and the pics! Seeing your turn signal setup makes me wonder if you could flip that bracket, or one like it, and possibly mount a peg to it??? I'm all about using existing holes in the bike to figure out a way to mount pegs. I'm also not beyond fabricating a couple of brackets myself and upgrading some hardware for more strength and length. I'll let you guys know if I come up with something. Thanks again!

I bought some aftermarket pegs. The left side fits fine but the right side hits the pipe. I haven't found a clevis yet that will fix this issue. I have been dragging my feet about just buying the stock setup. I'd prefer them to match my front pegs anyway. I have been trying to find a used set.

I put the banded harley pegs on mine. you have to drill and tap a bolt hole in the male clevis to be able to adjust them to height. you also have to make a bushing and use spacers to center the peg. worked just fine and looks ok too!!!

I flipped the brackets to put on the lights. If I didn't they would be in the passengers way. They are stock brackets.

You won't find a set because the pipes are too high to use the lower holes. You will need a step up clevis...
