Every once in a while you make a phone call and hear some welcome news. I was looking for a part, so I called Shovelheadkicker. In discussion, Derek mentioned that he bought the inventory formerly owned by Big Dog Performance.
This means we will have a source of original Big Dog parts from someone known to us who already has a successful operation. He said they are at work on a website, too.
Blacktopper and I passed through Lyons last year, and Derek met us for coffee. He is a biker who originally started years ago by buying 'lots' of inventory from BDM as they were liquidating to increase cash position. He took the risk and built his business.
I congratulate him in his vision, and am relieved that someone has stepped forward who will continue to be a valued resource in keeping these BDM machines of ours operating.
Congratulations, Derek, and I for one look forward to a productive relationship, as one thing is for sure...our bikes will need parts......
