Actually it's on a BDM label on the box. It's supposed to be a passenger footpeg bracket for a 2005 Ridgeback. That part number is prefaced by "BDM".

Oh well, no luck yet, he said that all the Warranty and Parts guys were in a meeting, he'll have to wait till they get out to find out for sure, it might be a recalled item.

Update: Bob @ BDM said it is a discontinued and recalled item. Apparently it was for a 05 Ridgeback several years ago. Bob also said take it to any BDM dealer and they would replace it with a brand new one!!!

Sounds like I may have had the recalled item as well on my 05 pitbull. When the whisker bar was installed you could not remove the oil fill cap. I called BD in 05 and they told me is was a mis-manufactuered part. I had to drop the rear of the oil tanK about 1/8" and shim it with washers to get the clearance I needed (BD's suggestion) and it worked.:2thumbs:
