Parking lights out

'05 Ridgeback... When I turned on Key, flashers went on & nothing else worked, so I tried 2 other EHC's that are supposed to be working fine. Head light comes on and bike fires right up, brake lights and blinkers work, but I get no parking lights, speedo lights or license plate lights. This happens with both EHC's I've tried, it must be something else. Has anyone had this problem, or have any ideas to help me with this, Jack.

Jack, have you checked to see if there are any lights lit up on your EHC and if so, which ones? Having several lights out at once is odd (unless the EHC is failing), but still you may want to pull the tank and make sure all connections are secure. You can also trace the wires back to the EHC and check with a meter to see if you have any output from the EHC to those lights that are not working. Apparently, you have power going in or nothing would work. Check for the lights on your EHC and get back to us.

I've got three lights lit with key on, (Bike not running). The second light (next to main plugs), in each row is lit, Yellow in row towards front of bike is on constant. Green light right under it in other row is blinking and at the other end of that row, (towards back of bike), Yellow bulb is flashing kinda fast.

Check the wire loom coming out of your rear fender that goes around the battery and see if any of the wires have frayed and grounded.

Were these other EHC's used? Do you get the same results with all of them?

Yes, they're used EHC's, but they both do the same thing....everything works except for taillight/marker light circut....Page 6-29 in manual....Which makes me believe it must be bad wiring or loose plug. I will get back to you as soon as I have time to check it out further.
