No one is listening! He said the gas in the tank was clear but that when he took the float bowl off the carb, it was orange. Is there a red O ring in the carb? I seem to remember there was one from my old Harley stroker days. I'm thinking this might be deteriorating if there is one there at all.

There is orange gaskets in my carb but the orange color is not coming from this.

It is simply just atmospheric moisture seeping into the fuel system. Plain and simple. The reason why it doesnt happen in the tank is because the sheer volume of gasoline in the tank = more fumes = less moisture = less oxidation = less rust if you do not have a tank liner like me :2thumbs: I try to keep my tank full as much as possible to avoid rust occurring.
