Painting an 04 chopper

Painting an 04 chopper right now for Full House Cycles in Virginia. It's basically a Neo-Gothic like the BDM paint book, but I'm giving it some twists. A couple of texture effects, some meta-jewels bathed in Kandy, and some silver leaf. Not a crazy job, but it'll pay the bills, LOL. Hoping to get 'er done inside of 10 working days. Don't see to much happening tomorrow, as I gotta play Mister Mom till Mom comes home! I'll post some pix as it comes along. Ed

Hey Airbrushed, look at my bike and tell me what you think we could do to blend in the sides of the tank with the top, love the paint but the sides being plain orange have bugged me, Think we could work in a pissed off clown some how maybe with some part of his skull showing?

I wish I could help you out Thumper, I really do. I like your ideas. I've done a bike like that before, and it turned out pretty bad-ass. We called it "Mad Clown Disease". But it wouldn't match what you already have. And painters have different styles. I know the guy who painted your bike. Our styles are too different. It wouldn't look like the two styles (and subjects) would co-exist together. It would end up hurting the look of your bike - the opposite of what you're after. Sorry mate.

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures. I've got a TON more than what you've seen on my myspace page. I'm running into "exceeding bandwidth" problems. Will keep trying!

Hey Thumper, You know I'll paint whatever you want me too. And I could even just continue with more of the Purgatory design that you have. I could, hell I designed that paint job. But my style wouldn't match. And I don't know what colors the other guy used. I'm at a loss. However... Could I interest you in an upgrade? I'll make you a sweet deal. We wouldn't even have to ship, as I have family in Tulsa and we come down often.

you have one sick, twisted mind....albeit very very creative and talented! What do you use for an airbrush setup? Are you now working out of a shop or do you have your garage setup as one? Pics, we want more pics!

Roaddawg- thanks for the compliments! Currently I just work from home in my small 2 car detatched garage. No big flashy shop. Sometimes when I have a big project I take the job to a friends shop to clear coat. Mostly a home-body out in the G-rage all day and night. Airbrush setup, strictly an Iwata man. HP-BCS Eclipse, HP-C, HP-Custom Micron B and C+. Iwata spray guns for base and clear, a few cheapies for heavy metallics and flakes. 80 gallon 2 stage compressor. Mostly House of Kolor, some PPG and Valspar. Working on a gallery for this site - stay tuned!

Thumper, you seem to like crazy clownz. That's a good place to start. Now that I don't have to tone it down for BDM, I could turn out some reeeaaallly twisted sh!t. My original sketch for the mad-clownz-disease had the top part of his skull over-turned like a cereal bowl with a little pool of blood in it. And it had a fork stuck in a red clown nose, floating in the blood. They asked me to leave that part out! Interested?
