Picking up the dog tomorrow after 3 weeks and $2400.
Put the WP in new HID headlight and right side switch assembly
He said the hi/low beam works, but the high beam indicator on the speedo stays on.
Don't care at this point as long as she runs!!:job::up::job:

I was was on river patrol boats, on the Mekong 67-70.
My oldest boy was on LA class fast attack for four years out of Norfolk.
I was on both his boats and when the skipper's, and the COB'S asked me what I thought, told them all same thing.
I'd rather be in combat again for three years before I spent one month on those steel coffin's.
My kid slept on top of a torpedo on his first boat!!
FK THAT!!:flag::flag::flag::flag:

It's good to hear that you're getting the Dog back BUT...

If they've had it for 3 weeks and have charged you $2,400 I think it's total BULLSHIT that the high beam indicator stays on!!! They've obviously miss wired it. I can accept making a mistake on the WP installation due to the nature of the beast but to lack the mental capacity to figure out that mistake and correct it yet still charge you such a ridiculous price is some fucked up shit! If they don't have the ability to troubleshoot something as simple as the high beam indicator you have to wonder about their diagnosis of your problem in the first place. It makes me curious as to what else might be wired wrong.:angry::angry:

You're kidding right? :loony: Shops that over charge for, at best, substandard work really piss me off! And what's worse, letting them get away with it only allows such shoddy businesses to continue to rip people off... :bang:

All I can say here is BAD DOG!!! :cursin:

Dennis

PS I'll bet they have the high beam indicator wire connected to both the high AND low beam wires...

I know your happy to get back on the road, but.......ride the dog a little and take it back. For that price......it should be right.

I really appreciate all the input, but let me give you a heads up about Vegas,
This is one of if not the largest transient cities in the world, with some of the dumbest mother fuckers I've ever met, and also most importantly where customer service is a contradiction in terms. Case in point the former Big Dog dealer here, fucked up my '05 chopper so bad that Big Dog had to replace it with my current ''07.It's not just work on this. I have found anything out here is just as unacceptable, but I'm calling WP now to find out what's wrong and then let them get it right.:confused:

Like Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid!" :D

That in itself is a contradiction considering Vegas only exists for "customers"!!!

All they'll do is some troubleshooting and then you'll still have to fix it. :(

Tell you what, if you're bike ever goes south on you again, ship it to me in Cleveland. I'll fix it and ship it back. It'll probably be cheaper and I GUARANTEE I know more about the bike than your current mechanic!!! :2thumbs:

Good luck Rob!

I don't doubt that at all.
Just came home from the shop, dude said "it ran great yesterday" went to start it up and it did a Cheech and Chong!!!
Yup up in smoke, the starter fried. Did some nosing around and guess what
Both the positive and negative wires to the battery terminal were loose.
Trust me this is not the exception out here, it's the rule.
I went ape shit, the hazards weren't working either. My buddy had to pull me out of there. If he didn't I'd be in jail now.:rant::rant::rant::rant::angry:
