Outer Primary with high spots.

Energy One
Does anyone have a good method for checking for high spots on outer primary? There are dowel pins also to deal with. And what is the best way to fix (besides machining).

If it is not leaking don't mess with it, but if you have a leak, you can run a lt file on that area to smooth it out.

still unable to find torque specs for primary chain adjuster mount bolts...(where the adjuster itself mounts to the inner primary.

My guess is 15 to 18 ftlbs. I go by feel. Wait for the right answer of said spec you're looking for. Say the inspection cover is off, not the outer primary cover. With a magic marker, draw a vertical and horizontal line at 12 3 6 and 9 o'clock points on the rear tire. Set the trans in top gear. Roll rear tire being off the ground, or push the bike to the next clock point. So if you marked the tire at 12, you first check the chain's up and down movement. Move or roll the tire to the 3 o'clock point to the same straight up vertical position and check up and down as you move to these 4 positions.
