My step son dropped out his senior year and floundered for about a year, worrying his mother and I to death... then out of the blue he took his GED and joined the Marines and has been nothing but a good soldier and good man for the past 6 years. HOOOOORAAAH!:flag:

Thank you all for the support! It really does mean a lot. My son and I just read through the thread and he appreciates all the good wishes. He is going into AECF with a 6 year commitment. May have to call on some of you Chicago guys to help me keep him in line. The good news there is my oldest daughter still lives in Michigan so she won't be too far away. It's going to be a wild year.
