I just got back to Daytona from Orlando where I was visiting our brother JR who is ICU on a ventilator. His condition is stable, but guarded.
Please keep him in your heart as he battles to recuperate.
I am not at liberty to discuss his condition in detail, but as many of you know he is one of the longest standing members of this forum and has been a very goid friend to many of us for quite some time.
Prayers for JR.

sorry, JR I've been out of town and away from the keyboard, but that does not mean I haven't been concerned about you. it makes me feel very good to hear that you are mending enough to be at home. take care of yourself to make sure you don't have to make another trip to the ICU. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS to you, good sir.

Thank you all. Still at home on the mend. Still have no voice. Much the delite of everyone but me! Dr is telling me that is normal after being on the Ventilator. So far no new bleeding which is key!!! Staying optimistic! Wish I could ride. Anyone interested in taking my baby for a stroll, let me know.

Eric, I will be in touch soon. I have to get the Chopper running. I believe the last starter I got isn't any good. I need a Right side control board for the K9 and a ton of rubbers for Roulette grips and pegs! Just got to get back to work to pay for it! Lol!

Thank you all!!!

So I found out why I still have no voice. Evidently I developed a Granuloma Ulcer on my vocal chords after having the Ventilator in. So now I have to see a Speech Therapist so I can learn how to vocalize differently with hopes that the Ulcer will heal on it's own. The meds are kicking my ass but I am still trying to stay positive.

I know it took me 3-4 months to really recover a voice. For the first few months I felt like I had to be yelling just to make it loud enough for others to hear me.

Not sure of it's the same thing or not with your deal, but I'm sure you'll get it back!
