Ordered M unit for EFI.

Ordered M unit for 2007 Bulldog EFI. Custom shop who has installed a few WP systems doing the work with me being the grunt. Will advise how it goes in a week or two after we begin install.

starter issues, bike cut out last weekend on a ride twice. New battery and still in oneday it would not start without tender. Jus the kind of liitle thing that piss me off and i usually ride alone and done want to breadown out in the country. Some areas here have piss poor cell service.

There is a post about it on here. I can't remember how did someone solve the 5v to the hand controls and key switch issue? Does he need a in-line relay?

So is this the reason for removing the EHC? Sounds more of a charging issue than a controller issue. I am sure much more knowledgeable members will chime in.

Definitely a controller issue. Think it fried the starter. I plan on going out on the road a lot and sure don't want any breakdowns. The M units looks much simpler to diagnose and Thanks to THOR, by puttiing a few fuse points and relays in will be easy to repair and diagnose problems.

Your starter had nothing to do with your bike cutting out once running. Your EHC could not fry your starter. Maybe I missed the details but I think this may end in a train wreck!

I have to agree with the others, I believe your tackling the wrong issue here. JMHO

Bike cutting out is one problem. Started not working is another. M unit could potentially not fix either. However while replacing everything you could in fact find what is causing the problems to begin with, but that is not always the best tactic.

My bike was cutting in and out, turned out to be a broken wire off the ignition.

M unit on back order so will run the wiring too and find the issue. For me its more about reliability on the bike and making sure those little things that effect our Dogs, don't happen when i am out in the country out of cell range.

Hopefully your LOW FUEL light will work correctly with the Wire+.

If you're having charging problems I'd look into a bad ground connection and test the stator.

Change of plans due to back order on M unit stared to rewire using wire plus. Turns out ehc was fried and the wire plus can be done in a few days and warranty, but hopefully wont need that.

Just got bike back, runs awesome now. Low fuel light will not work but repair guys said up front that it would not. Everything else include blinker auto off works well. I will check with shop and see about old EHC.
