I wrapped my V&H Big Radius pipes with a black graphite heat wrap.

They aren't wrapped tight and havn't been sprayed(Black) with the heat spray. They are also just resting in place. The haven't been bolted down.

I'm trying little by little to get away from the chrome and go with a black theme. I don't think you can tell by the picks but I had the rocker covers
powder coated black. I've had some issues with chrome. Living by the ocean can be a full time job keeping up with chrome.

Anyway I'm looking for opinions.

Looks great Chutney, I've done the same on a couple different pipes I've run as well as a couple other members on here.

Here are a couple pics doing mine with paint. I have a vid in that section of the gallery showing buring them in.

But looks like you got a nice even tight wrap on them. Good for you!! Are you going to paint them??

After soaking I tied them to a solid object to get a tight wrap.

Painting using a very hi temp paint all obtained from Summits Racing.

And the burn in process when painted. Pretty cool!

I'm with you Chutney - I'm planning on moving away from the chrome / polished to black - planning to have my wheels, bars, air cleaner and headlight bucket powder coated black whilst I'm away in June - I've also got some black mirrors on order
