I have a 3 inch primo rivera open that i want to put on my 2005 pitbull. are there any concerns or issues i should be aware of

If it is a primary that is made to fit a Harley it will take a lot of work. I have not done it myself but as I understand it you will need a new trans and a new transmission mounting plate welded in.

Good point. Post a picture of the backer plate, so we can be for sure before you tear down.
