open primary

got an 08 K9 want to put an open primary on it...What is the best way to go? who makes a good one, looks and functionality?

Less maintance, cooler, less maintance, better clutch hook up, cooler, no leaking oil in the starter, the sound, cooler...

RMD or Katara is what I would suggest

I want a belt drive also have herd a couple of faults to keep in mind, price, thats my bigest issue, next have herd that if a small rock jumps off the road & gets between the belt & pullys it fucks up the whole works, just keep it in mind, but damm thay look good

would the 4 inch be too much? overkill? I am doing it 95% for looks..

That is one of those debates. I was always told anything over a 4" is over kill on a normal bike. That being said, now RMD only sells 3" with OBS.

You run that same risk everyday with your final drive belt. How many rocks have you picked up with that?

With the open primary have you had any problems with your passenger's foot rubbing on the primary? How close is the foot peg to the belt?

i have a karata 4" ...no rattle when clutch is pulled in a great blower whine from the belt

My bdl is lighter than the stock primary. No chain, no fluid.
