I checked a month or so ago with j&p cycles and at that time they had at least one in stock. Now they are saying orders will ship in 4 to 6 weeks.
Earlier this year, I called Baker and at that time they were no longer making the units for our bikes. Maybe now they are taking special orders from at least J&P Cycles.

Someone I know with the 250 tire, #BD-BDM-1/2, ordered it from Baker mid November and received it last week.

I would like to see the receipt.
We sell allot of BD stuff for Baker so I tend to believe Linda from Baker when she calls and offers the last two belt drives they had in stock to us and tells me that they won't be building them anymore because there is not enough profit in them. I then follow up with her several times over several months, as well as have random folks call and ask to order a belt drive for a Big Dog and be told that they aren't making them anymore, explaining the issue to her how others are telling people that we are liars and they really are still manufacturing and selling them and she continues to reconfirm with me that they in fact are not building them any longer. To date I have only heard of a few getting their hands on them from J&P or a couple of other dealers. I have yet to see proof of anyone getting them direct from Baker.

Not trying to be an ass or beat up on you Lorenzo but this is your statement:

"Don’t believe anyone saying they are not making them. They make the inner plate to order. "

All I try to do is pass good information to BD owners to assist in their quest to maintain their rides. People countering those efforts, or countering anyone elses efforts, with bad information or parroting information from others that is bad is never good for BD owners.
Of course Baker could at any time start making them again and I would hope that anyone acquiring that information would expeditiously pass that information along, with the appropriate contact that informed them of the change in the situation, to assist BD owners.

All I’m saying is myself and 2 others I know, between September 23rd, when I ordered mine, and mid December, when the other 2 got theirs, we had no problems. Myself and one other had the 300 tire (#BD-BDM-0) and the other a 250 tire (#BD-BDM-1/2). I and the other ordered from J&P and the other from Baker. Just telling everyone my experience with the whole thing.

I get it but stating "Don't believe anyone telling you they aren't making them anymore" is not your experience with the whole thing.
It is a direct statement to indicate to others that you know for a fact Baker is still making the belt drives and others are lying about what they have been told directly by management at Baker and neither I nor anyone involved in my company are liars.
Your experience with the whole thing is that you and others bought them from J&P, which we have been telling everyone from day one is possible to do since they already had in house stock. I still state that anyone claiming they are buying them direct from Baker would help everyone out by providing a clear receipt showing they bought it directly from Baker, in the last couple of months, so I can stop listening to what I am being told directly by Baker as it would clearly show that they were and continue to not be honest about what they are telling one of their dealers as well as customers contacting them and attempting to order the belt drives. But until that occurs I will continue to tell folks that Baker is no longer making Belt Drive kits for 05 and up Big Dog motorcycles as I choose to believe Linda Wash and what she has continued to reaffirm to us and others .

Again, they didn’t have the primary for the 300 tire in stock. They didn’t even carry a stock number for them because they didn’t carry them. Just the ones for the 250 tire. After talking with the same tech line guy for a couple days and them calling Baker, they added the number for the 300 tire and I told them to put the order in. So I know they ordered it from Baker since they didn’t stock or even have a part number until I gave it to them.
bottom line is the stock number for the Baker primary for BD with the 300 tire was added to JP Cycles catalog around September 23rd because of me.

All makes sense because Baker called us on or about the same time frame and offered the last two they had on the shelf. We had to wait for one of them as they were still waiting on parts to come in for a couple they had already sold to vendors. I just finished chatting with one of the tech guys from J&P and he stated that while they still show on their web site they can no longer order them. Seems strange that they don't take them down off there site if that is the case but who knows what is going on in their organization.
So the fact remains, for all those interested, that Baker is no longer building the belt drive kits for the 05 and up BDs per Linda Wash.
If someone manages to purchase one from Baker please let everyone know as there are quite a few out there now still looking for one.

Curtis is accurate, Baker has NO MORE and has stopped production on BDM Open Drive. I ordered from JP, and they called me just now to say "Order cancelled. we have none, Baker has none, we are removing from our website"
