I talked to a couple people about this and they told me to not mess with it. My drive way is about a quarter mile long gravel road and if you kick a rock up under the belt they say it will raise hell on the teeth and belt. Some of them are awsome looking but at the going rate, I ain't going to take the chance. Just my opinion.

If you want the look and sound, nothing else matters.

One less fluid to change.

Easy clutch adjustment.

Rocks, huh? How often have you gotten a rock in the final drive belt?

I got one in mine didnt hurt the teeth but did make a nice bump in the belt
if I had to do it all over I wood get a 5 inch instead of a 4inch cause Mr,Jim says its even louder

Plus with the 5" you don't need a kickstand. Just get off the bike and it will stand there:roll::roll::2thumbs:

There are positives and negatives. The only negative I've experienced is the dreaded rock. One of the many positives that isn't talked about much is the performance. Shifting is silky smooth and neutral is unbelievably easy with the Karata. Plus it makes your bike look more like a machine, it's very impressive.

but the Big Differance between all of them is that haint none of them Sound like a Karata

What does everybody have to say about balance? It seems like you'd be taking a balanced bike and making it unbalanced? I wish I had the 3800 laying around.. They look so nice!

Had my Karata since the beginning of the summer. So far no issues. And by far one of my top three upgrades! Jim is great and offered more help than I asked for. Best part is I'm only 20 min. from his shop. Go for it!!
