I finally got to ride my K9 today. It's been sitting in the dealers shop for 9 weeks and 5 days. They were waiting for trans parts that were on back order.
My nut came loose on the clutch during my spring vacation ride. The clutch hub flange splines striped and it screwed up the splines on the trans mainshaft.:(
I went from going crazy not having the bike to ride, to feeling that I don't even own the bike any more it took so long. Back ordered parts SUCK.

I REALLY need to thank BDM for being Great about taking care of the problem. My warranty ran out back around Oct. The nut came loose on April 22. They still were kind enough to cover the cost of the parts. I only had to pay for the labor. I don't know of any other co. that would do that. BDM is the BEST bike Co. on this planet in my book!:flag:

Great to hear BDM is still standing behind their bikes. That is pretty amazing in these times

Slut Hub Nut - 08 Pit

:bang:Have I been infected with the dreaded clutch hub nut????:bang:

Clutch lever went limp this morning on my way to work and it was hard to shift. Lunch time took it down to my mechanic. By the time I got down to the shop the dog was creeping. They took a look and noticed that lever adjustment was fine and adjusted clutch to spec. He took it out for a test ride and seemed to think it was fine and told me to keep an eye on it if it went out again he would pull the primary. Well I was about to leave until we reviewed the service bulletins and low and behold "RE-TORQUE CLUTCH HUB NUT" All 2007-2008 models so needless to say I left the dog there to be looked at.

Also found a couple more service bulletins that apply to my bike.
-Heim Joint Replacement (had issues with this a few weeks back)
-NEW Primary Inspection Cover Gasket (no problem so far)
-Trans Top Cover Improvement (no problem so far)

:whoop: still under warranty :whoop:

Again they adjusted the clutch to spec and appeared to be ok so not sure if the slut hub nut comes into play in my situation but they are going to take a look. Even though it is under warranty I hope there is nothing else wrong.

YES, you have been infected! It will only get worse if you don't get it fixed.

Tell them to check the nut. It's a simple deal. It will save you time and money to just get it done now. If the clutch comes loose it'll screw up everything.
