On my 4th battery in 4000 miles.

Original was replaced at less than 300 miles, HD battery replaced at 500, braille replaced at 4200. I did the VR test.
1. OL between B+ and grnd
2. Nothing pin1 to grnd same pin2 to grnd
3. 1.5 to OL pin1 to B+ , same pin2 to B+
I am at the, buy a new VR as the new batt. is on the way.

I wish I knew, I took the battery out because it would not start and took it to work put it on the bike charger, it got up to 12.4 with the charger on it after 9 hours; however as soon as I removed it; it showed 11.83 and started dropping relatively fast.

Bad battery. Volts shouldn't drop like that and that fast. Your battery's not holding a charge, Just saying

No doubt, but why its happening is the question. I suspect the VR

Best bet is to get the bike running and check the volts at the battery while running, that'll let you know if the charging system is truly working correctly.
