Helping a friend find a bike and came across this pitbull at Dream Machines of Texas with 958 miles. I thought I'd seen that seat before on this site. There's no way that hand tooled seat has 958 miles on it. Look at the wear. You decide. New speedo maybe? I know some of you know the former owner of this pitbull according to the following seat thread. Just wondering whats the dill pickle?

Since I bought my AIH from there, I will tell you they swap stuff left and right to get stuff on the floor to sell.

They ebay stuff all day long buying and selling.

My guess is that the bike was acquired without a seat and they put a used one on.

Probably a poor choice, but that is my guess.

Or they could have put a new speedo and wires plus kit on it......dunno.

Paint sure does look nice....the paint looks low miles.

Hey Paul, here is a different link that everyone can view:

2008 Big Dog Motorcycle Pitbull $16,950 - Dream Machines of Texas Farmers Branch Texas 75234

I viewed this thread on my phone earlier and going back to it now on my PC, the link isn't working...it's not going directly to that bike because it's a mobile app. link.

You are right...that beautiful seat has taken a serious beating! That's one reason I came back to the thread...to see it again on my large monitor.

Hmmmm...what IS the dill pickle? :D

Those guys have a lot of nice inventory. Let us know what you find out. You should ask them

They also have a K9 on there with a girder front end that I remember a member of this site having

Thanks for the help Kathy. I didn't even think of that being a mobile only link I put up there. They do have a nice site though. The mobile link works nice on the phone. They had a Black 08' pitbull there early last year I almost bought when I was bike shopping. It had less than a thousand miles also. Ended up buying the Mastiff instead.

The seat doesn't look worn, just weathered, as if someone left it outside for a couple of months. Probably a little oil will make it look new again. You would think the dealership would oil that leather before posting the bike for sale.

I was thinking the same thing...

Keep an eye on Dream Machines. I went to the Wichita store to check out a Ridge for a member and watched as the "salesman" did the stupidist thing I've ever seen. The bike wouldn't start or charge so I suggested a new battery. He brought one out and before I could stop him, he flipped the new battery upside down and touched the terminals to the battery in the bike. Shower of sparks.... cause he hit the positive to the negative!!:loony::loony:
I haven't been back.
Just my :zz2cents:

I bought my Rigid from the Austin Location, however I was dealing out of the Dallas Location. Traded in my bike in Dallas (local) went down to Austin to pick it up. Bike died on me on the way home when I stopped for gas, starter wouldn't engage. I ended up finally getting it started push starting it. Took it to the Dallas location had them take a look, as suspected they said the starter was bad. They replaced it no issues.

Anyways, they deal with high turnover on these Big Dogs, I would have to say between their 3 locations and the work they do on ebay they probably see more Big Dogs come and go than most other dealers. I suppose it could be a swap, however the thread you posted mentioned it was for a Pitbull, didn't dig much deeper. Although in the thread the guy states client wanted a World of Warcraft theme, I'd say if hes so addicted to that game to get a frigen seat made he doesn't ride enough!!!

Anyways, I'm only about 15 minutes from the shop. I might be able to go have a look on some Saturday if your buddy is seriously considering it.

Thanks for the offer to go look. I don't think he's going to consider a hard tail. I was just on there looking at available bikes and saw that seat. You can't mistake that seat. I knew I'd seen that on the site here before. Just hard to believe there only a little over 900 miles on that seat. Maybe it was swapped over from another bike. The seat thread never showed what bike it was going on. Just mentioned it was for a pitbull. Those pitbulls have to be my favorite bike for looks. I'd love to have one as a second bike.

It's probaly just swapped from another bike but you never know the seat coulda came off during shipping and they had to throw one on it.

Well I was checking out their site looking at K-9's just for grins.

Found one and apparently they don't know the difference between a girder frontend and a springer -- not the "informed dealer type" i'd be looking for!

Ha ha, I'd bet most people on here don't know what a "Girder" is Mike! :D Don't see them much anymore. :D

That's a pretty Pit Bull. That seat that's on it is way cool. Just may need some TLC. I'm sure someone here would be interested in it if your going to sell it. May pay for most of your new seat. Congrats on the new pup.
