Ok Strange request time

Does anyone have the installation instructions for the passenger clevis kit for an 08 K-9.

I'm curious if mine are on correctly (from last guy that owned it) as when I just pulled the pegs off to check something the pegs themselves were reversed and I want to make sure the mounts are correct.

Any help is appreciated.

This isn't covered in the service manual.

Couldn't hurt. Pretty sure ow looking at pics I have of the old an current K-9 that the mounts are correct, confirmation would make the GF happier --She's said for a while something felt wrong. Never expected this -- my old bike a peg was a peg no left or right.

On mine, the bolt head is on bottom, rounded edge of peg is facing up

I looked in my manuals and came up dry, too. Has the fronts, but no rears. Took mine off bcs wifey doesn't like the 'primitive' K9...
Then remembered some pics from before. Forgive the poor photography, but the peg is visible and definitely are flat side up.

You have to expand the pic a bit, but the rear peg mount is visible.

Hope this helps, Mike. She needs to be confident they won't fall off. Haha Try to get Those pegs off a K9 and you'll realize how remote the chances of that are!!

the 08 pitbull i have has tabs with bolts that run front to back. but the 08 K-9 looks like the run side to side. see pics from the service manual below. cant be much different. i took my left one off to put a swing arm bag on a while back. i got lazy and left the right side on. just went outside to look at them and looks as if you reverse them you can drop them an inch or so because the center line is L shaped. (see the yellow markup). its really just two hex bolts (circled blue) holding it to the frame. you would have to remove the 5/32 bolt at the hinge because of the stops (circled red) and swap the actual pegs. if you didn't they would fold down and not up, locking out at horizontal.
and you'd have to check for clearances when your swing arm is topped out, exhaust etc. double check as i had not tried doing this yet.
