OK now what????

Hey all,

My tach has been inop on my '04 Chopper since I've owned it. I assumed it was the PCB board that was faulty(all other indicator lights work). well, I finally replaced the PCB board today with a brand new unit, and guess what? Yep, still no tach lights. Yep, all other indicator lights are working. Question: What do I look at next? I've checked all the connections in the harness that I could see. Any help would be appreciated.

i dont have a tach on my 04 but are those lights that are out all on the board or seperate.?just wondering

I wouldnt worry about it, I get tierd of seeing the yellow lights!!

So according to BD:
Note that the tach signal is NOT a function of the EHC. The tach signal is a funtion of the Ignition Module and is simply fed through the EHC, so they can keep an eye on your abusive nature.
If the tach is not working but the rest of the annunciators lights, the annunciator is the biard that the tach resides on, are then the problem must lie either in the tach signal wire(yellow) or the ignition module and not in the red and black wire that supply power to the assembly.
If the tach is inoperative DO NOT change the EHC, check the wires and connectors that carry the tach signal. Also check the ignition module. The signal wire is a green wire from the Ignition Module, but is a yellow wire from the EHC to the tach.

Hope this helps now get to troubleshooting. And you will probably find out that your original annuciator was okay.
