Gas, lets be honest. Some people just can't spell. But to ignore the automatic spell checker is just fucking lazy or stupid! I agree that it's great to poke fun at the topic, but I would be embarrassed if I submitted a paper or document that looked like it was written by a 2nd grader.

You bring up a good point about the spell checker, but to be honest, I never even noticed the little icon until you mentioned it. I will try to use it more, but that said still not going to be too overly concerned as I am sure most on here would not be either.

It is after all a Biker Forum and most are just trying to get their thought across quickly. Not what most, if not all of us do in real life, as far as documents and more formal writing goes. To me it is no different than so many people I have worked with that use AIM, Yahoo messenger and such and do all the informal conversation, but are very shy to put it down on a formal email.

Worse, like so many people do with cell phones and text messaging, carry on a big conversation on text message instead of just dialing up the person that is obviously there and talking to them.

Hey G-Dog, We all have pet peeves, You can have yours, but in reality, I spend quite a lot of time typing letters to customers, Employees and all that Jazz. When I post here, I rarely have time to get a complete thought out.

Regarding auto spell checker, People who rely on those, often have correct spelling but the wrong word. Point here is, this is an informal biker site, I know I make a lot of Spelling errors, But I see Grammar errors as well as incorrect usage here all the time. Now we all know one thing, The rest of us can make as many errors as we want, But if you do, it's open season.

Hey GDOG... I don't honestly care if you don't like the spelling. I think the point has been made. Further, because I don't care, I won't hold it against you.

Its like driving here in Michigan. I don't care if you don't like to speed, just don't get in my way. If you do, I'll go around, cut you off, and if you don't retaliate (sp?) then I don't care. If you do something like flash your brights, you better have your foot over the brake cause you're going to get a face full of tailights and quickly get real close to my tail.
