I'm either going with one in the oil cooler or it will be digital when I redo my dash/speedo.

When I redo the dash/speedo/gas gauge. I will be using all open source hardware/software and will make mods I do available to anyone interested

Check this out for the Arlene Ness Set up I prefer. These setups are Pressure gauges but you can install a Temp gauge in the same location.

I think you're right. I have pressure on the OEM gauge already, I need temp. Even with dual oil coolers this thing gets hot in stop and go traffic, I want an oil temp gauge. Hopefully I will find one I can mount on the engine and not under the seat......

I have the OEM temp gauge from Big Dog for my Ridgeback, I think Donna and Derek still sell them. Works great if you don't have rear foot pegs, otherwise it won't unscrew....but I like it because it acts as a dipstick as well. So far it's worked out great.

That's my little fishing dinghy. All of them are designed by me and they all have the orange pointer straight up at cruise, takes about 0,2 sec to check all systems while underway.
