Oil Tank Cover Bubbling

The oil tank cover on my 07 K-9 developed a heat induced bubble because of its proximity to the rear exhaust header. I am running I am running Straight Shots from Supertrapp with integrated heat shields.
Anyone else having this problem?
Solutions?

I have heard of this problem, Search and you should find some answers. Some guys wrapped their pipe under the heat shield to avoid this problem

We exhaust wrapped the rear cylinder pipe area under the heat shield about 5 inches down and it stopped the same problem on a 2007 Bulldog. Pipes are V&H Big Radius II
