Found oil residue on the left upper fork of my 05 Pitbull. Wipped it off and unscrewed the top cover of the bottom fork to check for accumulation and wipped it off but still residue emerged.

I guess this is a symptom of broken seals.
-What possible seals might have been broken ?
-Can this be repaired without major surgery? (Gas Man Kinda scared me on his thread)
-Can I ride the bike till end of summer then endulge in the repair procedure as detailed by Gas Man or I should attend immediately?

Bike is an 05 and has 2000Miles on it

I'd ride it until the weather changes. If it's not spewing it will be fine. You may as well change out the bushings while you're in there as well.

Thanks Vegas, mgiht as well do a full refurb to the seals and bushings, would you know if Bigdog sold them as a Kit or I will have to dig into the individual part numbers?

I just did mine and ended up using big dog seals and harley 41mm wide glide bushings. Make sure you use a caliper on them first.

Vegas said it...

Just keep an eye on it... if it don't get real bad... you'll be fine.
