Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Late the other night while attempting to relocate the sending unit as part of installing an oil pressure guage, I ended up wrapping a pair of channel locks with electrical tape, to remove and re-install it.

Next day, the local shop (Ron Harvey's Classic Motorcycles) showed me a tool for that purpose. I had nicked the sending unit just enough with the channel locks that the tool would not easily fit, but...

Here's one from J&P Cycles: Part Number: 910-889

But does anyone really care if their sending unit is dinged?

You would have to change a lot of sending units for $40! :D

I picked up a socket at Pep Boys. Supposed to be for an 02 sensor but it fits my oil pressure sending unit perfect. Not bad for about 3 bux.:D
