Oil Leak

Both of my Big Dogs leak oil out of the primary inspection cover. I have purchased new covers and gaskets. I have tighten them both to specs and in the star pattern as recommend. They both still leak out of the right lower corner. Is there any trick to stop the leak? Only thing I can think of is adding another gasket and or use some kind of gasket cement. Anyone out there have the answer? Thanks.

Do you have the old style cover or the newer version? I had a small leak on the vintage sport but a new gasket took care of it. I don’t think a little Permatex Ultra Black would hurt anything. B7F8768B-E07B-4C4F-B0F1-32AD4C1C00C7.jpeg

The covers are the newer one's. The vent screens are clean. The oil amount is 32oz? I know no more than that. I remember there was some question on how much oil should be put in. I'm pretty sure I put in 1 quart. If it was over filled I would think it would blow out the vent screen or out the inspection cover gasket in more than 1 place. Any suggestions?

It won't hurt to siphon off a few ounces to see if it helps. All you need is to keep the bottom part of the chain wet. It's a bath system just for the chain.

20 ounces if the system was dry, 18 ounces or so if just changing fluid.
This is one of the spots where people discovered that the manual was incorrect.
