Oil Leak

Hey guys... My '05 is leaking oil near the front (inner Primary backplate). At first I thought it was a leak from the outer primary cover, so I replaced all the 'o' rings. But looking closer it's comming from where the inner primary bolts to the engine (front bottom).
My question is.... Would this be primary fliud or engine oil leaking from the main shaft??? Hard to tell since both oils look and smell the same?
Any ideas

Mine was leaking in basically the same place, it is very difficult to tell, pulled the whole primary off and replace all the o-rings, solved the problem, but we never could pin down exactly where it was leaking, no torn or obvious wear.

they sell dyes for different fluids on car, I am sure you could use any that are for engine oil. most auto shop will have but if not, sure you could fine on line. I thinking put a little in primary then drive. also will need ultraviolet light, the dye will show up like the old black light posters. If does dye not show in leak then would be engine oil. maybe also check with S&S they are very helpful.

Think I will do that in the Winter. Sure wish I could afford a Karata 4" Belt drive.
