Man not a good way to start the riding season, changed the oil n fluids this morning on the k-9, and went for a ride, pulled into local bike shop to see some friends came out n seen dark spot on front of the motor, got to looking closer n coming from cylinder head. One good thing bike is still under warranty. So hopefully big dog will be easy to work with n can be back on the road in a week or so, before it really gets nice out.

You may get lucky and find it is not a leak at all but where some had puked out from the air cleaner area and seep it's way around to the cylinder head looking like a leak. Had that happen a few times on mine, right after an oil change and usually after the first few miles when I may have tended to crank it a little harder going down the road.

Everytime it was just a little puke from the vent to the air cleaner and then seep around the head. Normally it woul show up on the rea cylinder left side most. Usually wiped it off after checking oil level and it never showed again or at most just a little, but never after a second wipe!!!

Good luck

Didnt get a pic is already at the shop, from what the mechanic could see was coming from the back part of the front cylinder, had to take the ignition cover off before he could tell exactly where it was coming from.

Good to hear that it was minor and evidently similar to what I have experienced a few times.

In my case when it has happened, it was right after I changed the oil and normally shows after a few miles of fun riding. Usually if I got a little extra fun on the throttle.

Has said before, wiped it off and seldom had any more showing, maybe once had still a little bit shwoing during the next ride, but never after wiping it a second time.

Even when I fill up to the right amount, I think there may be just enough oil left from the previous fill, that it may get just enough of a n extra to puke it out when you get on it for a little bit of time.

Once again, great news that it is not anything major. Get out and enjoy the ride and be safe.

Keep the Irish Whiskey and driving seperate today if you may participate enough of the cheer that you are going to do some jogs and sing "When Irish Eyes Are Calling" later on (my plan for tonight)!!!!
