oil leak

Had a few drops of oil under my 08 ridgeback. It has 2500 miles on it so brought it in to be serviced at the dealers - Amsoil synthetic in the motor and Redline in the primary- an o-ring was replaced and the clutch pack bolt was retorqued (apparently the factory did not torque the nut tight enough - that is another issue; they say big dog might be in the process of a service bulletin or something) Anyway it was still leaking on my floor so upon further inspection I found oil leaking under the crankcase and apparently it had been blowing back and running down the left side and dripping under the primary because the bike leans that way when parked. Took it back to the Dealer. Called the service dept. today and they said the case bolts were loose, and they will call big dog to see if they should take the engine out and send it back.

Has anyone had this type of problem with their S&S.

Big Dog will stand behind it, their awesome when it comes to this. Sounds like you had a motor assembled on a friday afternoon, lol

Problem found. After a series of rides and inspections, my mechanic found a crack in the oil filter housing fitting; apparently from being over torqued ---now waiting for parts...
