Oil leak from Pushrod and Rocker Cover

My 06 K-9 has decided to learn a new trick and has been pumping a fair bit of oil through the Front top Pushrod tube and the Rear Rocker cover. I just replaced the Pushrod Seals and the TP gaskets and did a test ride.

Seems like the problem is now a little more worse than when I started.
I did check the Rear head checkvalve and the front vaccum line and they seem to operate fine, I cant see how the pressure can build up with these vents working as they should. I remember that I have the Reed type breather valve also but I havnt pulled the cam cover off yet.

Am I covering all the bases here or is there something else I should be taking a look at?

You sure the tube covers are seated and clips installed properly?

Replacing the Push Rod seal doesn't mean it's installed correctly. I had the problem and the upper seal did not seat right, part of it went up into the hole (head) and made a mess. Did it again and made dam sure it stayed in place, oil leak solved :2thumbs:

I reinstalled the original seals at first, they have been in service since the bike was new. The new seals were installed with the valve covers off so I could look down inside. With all the seals replaced and with the valve cover seals replaced and the leaks still happening in the same places just have me suspecting a pressure related issue.

Check your breather valve to make sure it is not clogged.

Does that engine have TP rocker boxes ? They may be contributing to your issue with internal problems. Replacing p/rod tube seals is a no brainer when installed properly.

Just and update in case someone else is having these issues.
Rear cover leak.....New gasket, tightened down....problem solved
Front pushrod upper seal leaks......Collar is stopped from putting pressure on the upper seal(Quad Seal)... I put an old seal on top of the collar and under the lip of the pushrod tube)....problem solved for now. The old seals were humongous compared to the Quad seals or the Evo seals. This problem has been covered before I think.

The top pushrod collar does not countersink into the head opening it stops on the outside, it seems the collar diameter is too large.
My next step is to investigate wether the proper pushrod tubes are installed. But for now its better than its ever been.
