Been 'nursing' a pesky lower rocker box leak for a while and I finally decided to tear into it and fix this thing.

Here's what I found when I tore it down. Quite a few tears in the gaskets!

As you can see, the original gaskets are the two-piece type.

I've heard that there is a one-piece metal HD gasket that will work but all I've been able to find are twin-cam lower rocker box gaskets (cometic) and a few of the holes don't match (after a week of waiting) :bang: :bang:

anybody got a PN i can use to get this thing put back together???

S&S 107 c.i.

Many thanks!

Dam, if those are the stock gaskets, I would say they over torqued them big time. If you are using comatic gaskets call their tech line for a part number and they will hook you up, that is what I did. They are slow if the gaskets are not in stock, but well worth the wait. :2thumbs:

Just about the same time John Sachs was sending me the Cometic PN (9865) I found them online!

I blew the picture up and printed it out and it matches! SWEET!

at least it was easy to see what was causing the leak and a fairly easy fix
