Oil leak ‘07 K9

Been a while since I got on here but I guess that’s a good thing from a maintenance perspective. I picked up an ‘07 K9 and it needed literally everything. I put new tires on, new battery, cleaned the carb, rebuilt rear brake caliper as it had a blown seal and leaked brake fluid all over the back wheel. I also replaced brake fluid and bled. I am trying to diagnose an oil leak now. It isn’t coming from the drain plug. It’s somewhere behind that. After looking at the service manual diagrams it would appear that I need the whole primary gasket set. Anyone else experience this and was the gasket kit the solution? I don’t really see anywhere else it could come from.

that's fairly common, I had a similar problem on mine, unfortunately it was the inner primary seal. I would clean it and try to verify where the leak is.

Yeah about what I figured. Thanks. I do plan to try to get a deeper look under there before ordering but I think that’s probably the proper solution.
