I was going to make the mod to do this? They have it??
No mod needed .. just buy two of them and you have all thats needed plus a spare line!! I can feel them get hot riding on the highway and when stopped at a light so they are giving or should I say taking heat away from the oil. According to the S&S Manual for some cam setups they require at least one.

I have a dual oil cooler setup on my K9 but I have it setup with an automatic thermostat bypass for the cooler weather. Here in NJ it will bypass the cooler until the oil hits a certain temp then switch over to flow through the units. It is my local dealers setup not the big dog one.

Would like to see pics.

From BDM website:

"This BDM oil cooler is the perfect ingredient to prolonging the longevity of your motor by reducing oil-operating temperatures up to 30 degrees!"

Does this work by simply rerouting oil out through the tubes which gets cooled by air then redirected through the engine?

I mean, they look really cool but is there official testing that proves they do the job?

Thanks!

I like that look too! Nelson, what's a package deal for either setup gonna run? Can you source the one emc has?

Excellent point! A thermostat is a must, keeps the oil temp in a good operating range. I believe that most thermostatically controlled oil coolers don't allow oil through the cooler till oil temp is 180 degrees.

Main reason I went with it I instead of the big dog version. I also like the dual tubes running the frame instead of the short fat single tube BD uses.

You have a temperature gage? Just curoius what kind of oil temps you run with that set up.

Havent put one on it yet to see. One of those future mods I will get to at some point. I know it doesnt do much standing still except give you extra oil but it certainly cant hurt either. I figure the BD setup is a u shaped tube within the larger single tube around 10" long. My setup runs two seperate tubes and they are both around 14" long without the crossover tube. I may have to see about setting up the temp gage for the ride to Myrtle Beach next month it would be a good test for it.
