Bummer, I just blew one out myself on Sunday, it was delivered yesterday and I mounted it on the wheel. Today I'm putting it on the bike. I feel your pain

OK, I nursed the machine back to VA yesterday. The weather called for rain out there today and I didn't want to deal with wet roads and this. Big thanks to everyone for their help and ideas -- these things always seem to happen on Holiday weekends for some reason.

So I dropped the tire pressure 10% and kept it at 60 or below. This picture is bout 400 miles after I first noticed the steel belt showing. That patch of steel belt eventually widened but I don't think I tore through more that the 1st belt. Your mileage may vary...

Ok, I'm thinking that you might have wanted to change that tire before you left, yes? That could have gotten real interesting in rain.

How many miles did you get out of that tire(not counting running on the steel belts):) Glad you made it home without a blowout.
